Carey & Drew

Carey and Drew were great at the engagement shoot and the wedding was just as wonderful.  They were determined to have their wedding outdoors at the Ivy Hills Golf Club in Newtown, Ohio.  The weather cooperated, sort of -- a bright sunny day in the middle of October, but high winds.  The girls added extra hair spray and hair pins to keep their hair in place.

When Carey stepped around the side of the old guest house to walk down the isle with her father, everyone stood with smiles on their faces, especially Drew.  Carey looked fantastic in her strapless dress and her veil blowing in the wind.  The late afternoon sun glowed on the couple as they took their vows.

The reception was inside with Fred Caldwell of DJ Butlers helping coordinate the evening.  Friends and family enjoyed the night of fun toasts, great food, and lively dancing music.

It was an outstanding day.

Kim & Jason

Outdoor weddings are great, especially when the weather cooperates, and it did for Kim and Jason.  The couple had their event at the Kings Island Resort where there is  an outdoor ceremony space, some great trees, and a small lake.

Kim looked wonderful in her lace dress and Jason was emotional when he first set eyes on her during a pre-ceremony meeting.  They were able to enjoy being with each other prior to the ceremony and we walked about the grounds creating memorable images at a leisurely pace.

It was important to Kim and Jason to spend as much time with friends and famiy at the reception, so taking care of the images of the bride and groom together, along with the bridal party, and family before the ceremony made it possible.

Autumn colors

Photographing with the Iphone is always and exciting experiment for me.  I carry the phone with me during walks, snap an image, and then play with it using one of several apps for photography.  Below are some images of a favorite maple tree I pass during my daily walk (well, almost daily).

Keri & Tim

Too much fun!  Tim and Keri enjoy having a good time and they take pleasure in each other the most.

Keri's simple white dress fit her perfectly and she looked stunning. The short veil with feathers was a perfect accessory.  Tim was all smiles when he saw her walk down the isle of St Cecilia's in Oakley, Ohio.

Keri asked her mother to do the flowers for the wedding and they were the most creative I've see -- flowers, feathers, copper wiring and mason jars.

After the ceremony the bridal party walked down the street to Alglamesis Brothers Ice Cream Parlor for a few fun photos, and then off to a Touch of Elegance center for the reception. The excitement of the day continued  into the night with friends and family.

Carlie & Adam

The Syndicate in Newport, Kentucky, has a fascinating history as a speakeasy during the 1920's.  This being the case, it offers many unique places for images.  Carlie and Adam had their wedding and reception downstairs, but we took photographs in some of the smaller rooms and outside.

Every image of Carlie was wonderful.  She looked striking in her dress and she was radiant in all the images.  Adam was such a considerate person.  He totally enjoyed himself, but also made sure everyone else was cared for, including me.

Jayme & Matt

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina is a beautiful location to visit and to have a wedding there is even better.  Jayme & Matt did just that.  On September 9 close friends and family joined the couple on a glorious sunny day at the Port Royal Plantation, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  The outdoor setting was set up overlooking the golf course and the isles were lined with hanging silver buckets full of flowers.

Jayme looked stunning in her lace covered dress and Matt had a hard time not shedding a tear as she came down the isle.  As the sun was lowering, giving the entire setting a warm glow, the two said their vows.  It was a grand day for them.

It was an honor to be asked to travel to Hilton Head Island from Cincinnati, Ohio to photograph this wedding.  We created many memorable images.
