Jen and Frank wanted photos of themselves with their three dogs once they found out that the oldest dog, Murphy, had cancer. Also, they recently brought home a new puppy, Cooper, and what a butterball he is -- eight weeks old and over 20 pounds! Then there is Cody. Cody is not too fond of the puppy and during the photography session he reminded me of a sullen teenager -- sometimes sitting apart from the rest of the dogs and looking everywhere but the camera. I had to laugh.

Eli is One Handsome Guy
What a cutie this little guy is! At three months he had me gazing at his wonderful smile and twinkling eyes the moment I walked into his home. He is going to turn heads with those handsome looks of his. See for yourself.

Studio meeting place
Things never move as fast as one wants sometimes. The area I am creating as a studio meeting room is coming along, but ever so slowly. I look forward to when it is all together and clients are able to enjoy this new space.

Jennifer & Nick
There are so many beautiful locations for weddings within the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area, and the Wiedemann Hill Mansion in Newport, Kentucky is a treasure. The fine home of beer baron, Wiedemann, overlooks the Ohio River and the Cincinnati skyline. It accomodates a small group but provides a grand view.
Jennifer and Nick took advantage of this jewel and shared their vows with a few close friends and family members. One could not ask for a more beautiful bride or happy groom. The two are fantastic together.

Alayna & Max Engagement Session
It was a gorgeous day for an engagement session -- the sun was filtering through a thin layer of clouds and the temperature was delightful.
Alayna and Max are getting married in June, but they wanted to have their engagement photographs early so they would have plenty of time to select their favorite images as a display at their reception. It is never too early or the wrong time of year to have an engagement session, as they discovered on this beautiful day.
We met at Ault Park, a favorite Cincinnati city park for family, wedding, and engagement photography. Here we took advantage of the many remarkable locations to create a variety of terrific photographs. In just an hour we had a wide variety of memorable images.

Amy & John
It was a beautiful day at the Manor House in Mason, Ohio for an outdoor wedding. Amy was radiant and looked elegant in her dress. The ceremony was full of tears and laughter as the couple each read their personal vows. After many heartfelt toast and a fine meal, Jack Garret and his Orchestra provided great music for the evening. Amy and John successfully created a warm and friendly event enjoyed by their friends and family.
2012 Pick - The Knot Best of Weddings
The other day I received a call telling me I was selected as 2012 Pick, The Knot "Best of Weddings". I received it last year too!
For those of you (K)not in the know, brides voted me as one of the best photographers in the area. A great honor.
Soon, the new plaque will be placed next to the one from last year.
Blogging interrupted...
I recently changed my email service and this created a few glitches. So, blogging was placed on hold for awhile. Things are slowly moving forward and there is some catching up to do on my blog.

Carey & Drew
Carey and Drew were great at the engagement shoot and the wedding was just as wonderful. They were determined to have their wedding outdoors at the Ivy Hills Golf Club in Newtown, Ohio. The weather cooperated, sort of -- a bright sunny day in the middle of October, but high winds. The girls added extra hair spray and hair pins to keep their hair in place.
When Carey stepped around the side of the old guest house to walk down the isle with her father, everyone stood with smiles on their faces, especially Drew. Carey looked fantastic in her strapless dress and her veil blowing in the wind. The late afternoon sun glowed on the couple as they took their vows.
The reception was inside with Fred Caldwell of DJ Butlers helping coordinate the evening. Friends and family enjoyed the night of fun toasts, great food, and lively dancing music.
It was an outstanding day.

Kim & Jason
Outdoor weddings are great, especially when the weather cooperates, and it did for Kim and Jason. The couple had their event at the Kings Island Resort where there is an outdoor ceremony space, some great trees, and a small lake.
Kim looked wonderful in her lace dress and Jason was emotional when he first set eyes on her during a pre-ceremony meeting. They were able to enjoy being with each other prior to the ceremony and we walked about the grounds creating memorable images at a leisurely pace.
It was important to Kim and Jason to spend as much time with friends and famiy at the reception, so taking care of the images of the bride and groom together, along with the bridal party, and family before the ceremony made it possible.
